About The Chef


Stacey Caine loves to cook! In 1997 she started her studies at Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology in the Culinary Management Program. After graduation in 1999 she pursued her career working full time for The Fish Market Restaurant located in Ottawa’s bustling Byward Market. She worked her way quickly from Salad Chef to Assistant Supervisor for the company’s three restaurant complex. Five years later and a move to Lindsay, Ontario she found herself as a chef in a long term care facility. From there she progressed to a Food and Beverage Management position in a Retirement home. Stacey started a very successful catering program for the company, catering local functions such as the Trent Hills Chamber of Commerce Awards Gala, the Trent Hills Economic Development Summit, the Trent Hills Festival of Trees and a local TD Bank Customer Appreciation Event.  She loved the work she could do with seniors but craved being an entrepreneur! In November of 2012 she decided it was time to pursue her dream of starting a catering business. Stacey has combined her love of cooking and event planning with her desire to see seniors in the area benefit from proper in home private chef services and so began Sugar|Caine Catering.
